Hi, nice people! I'd like to introduce you to two woman who vlog on LiveVideo. The first calls herself Allycat and the second uses the name of iowagirl. Each woman has made a bunch of interesting and entertaining videos. Here's a look at one from each of them.

Grease 2: I'm not the one that they wanted
Allycat is Allison, a 26-year-old woman who lives in Californa. She moved from New England to the Hollywood area in order to persue an acting career. In this video, she tells us the story of her audition on NBC's new reality show "Grease - You're the one that I want" She didn't make it to the live audition part of the show, but she did have an interesting time. Watch and learn. We wish Allison much success in all of her endeavors!

Confronting haters on livevideo
It has been said that there are no haters on LiveVideo. Everyone knows about the hater problem on YouTube, but generally, LiveVideo does have less of a hater problem. Maybe the influx of YouTubers to liveVideo is bringing some of the bad element along with the mostly nice people that make up the YouTube community. In this video, iowagirl talks about hater experiences and what she thinks of haters. Iowagirl is Megan, an 18-year-old woman who also moved out to California to persue an acting career. We wish Megan much success in all of her endeavors!

Who is on LiveVideo?

LiveVideo is a video hosting service that looks quite a bit like YouTube. Many people from YouTube have come to LiveVideo to check it out. They like the fact that the audio is in stereo and the comment and messaging systems work perfectly. They like the fact that the community has less "haters" and if a hater does cause trouble, a user can block them from commenting and from even watching their videos!

Of course there are people on LiveVideo who aren't on YouTube. One of the first people that I found was Alexandria, a 16-year-old woman from California. Here is her first introductory video, "Hello, I'm Alex!":

Here's another Alex video. This is the first video I watched at LiveVideo! Alex was featured on the LiveVideo Homepage as a "Hot Channel" on the day I first visited a few weeks ago. I watched this video titled "Help, I've been kidnapped!" and liked what I saw!

Guess who else is on LiveVideo? Captain James T. Kirk from the starship Enterprise! Yes, William Shatner is here! Shatner, lately known as "Denny Crane" on ABC's "Boston Legal" comedy/drama, posts videos along with his daughter Liz on the ShatnerVision channel. Here's a video titled "William Shatner on ShatnerVision" in which he and Liz discuss what they hope to do with their channel in the future.

LiveVideo Explodes!

YouTube users discovered LiveVideo (LV) this week! There has been a lot of discontent lately with commenting and messaging problems on YouTube and with YouTube's lack of explanation about what was being done to improve the situation. People began to fantasize about a YouTube 2 which had all of the community aspects of YouTube and where everything actually worked smoothly. This week, a good number of YouTubers seemed to decide that LiveVideo.com fits the bill. I've set up an account there and I found that it looks a lot like YouTube. From what I can see so far, everything works. But what will happen when thousands of new users sign up? Time will tell.

I'm not wasting any time. I'm jumping on the LV bandwagon right away! I'm adding the ability to add LV videos to user's "My Favorite Videos" list on our YTStats service. For more information on that service, see this post on my other blog, YouTubeStars, or go to the YTStats sign up page.
